Service Description

ABA consultation supports clinicians, families or caregivers by providing practical, evidence-based strategies to address challenging behaviors using play as the foundation for learning and behavior change. Consultation emphasizes connection, motivation and naturalistic teaching strategies that foster skill development while maintaining joy and engagement and honoring the adult-child relationship. Karli specializes in trauma-informed, assent-based ABA practices with individuals across the lifespan. Through thoughtful collaboration and individualized support, consultation focuses on understanding behavior and helping create interventions that feel respectful, effective and sustainable. PLEASE NOTE: This service is for professional caregivers and clinicians, within and outside of New York, looking to gain insight and strategies from consultation which they then apply on their own. If you reside in the state of New York and are looking for comprehensive consultation, including direct observations, modeling, feedback and recommendations, you should register the individual as a client. Your consultant cannot be your ongoing service provider. Consultation is not the same as ongoing services, where a therapist develops and implements the treatment plan. Additionally, due to variables across disciplines and state lines, Case Consultation is considered "academic consultation" unless the individual is under Karli's supervision within the state of New York. Academic Consultation is the term used when the individual is independently licensed  to practice in another jurisdiction, which Karli may not be licensed in, and maintains responsibility for abiding by their ethical code(s).
